A long time...

Just some general updates:

I've got my farm website up and running, with pics of of the Diadems as well as the rest of my herd. I think it looks pretty good, and the links and everything seem to be working. I hope to be doing updates more often, especially on pics.

I'm currently working on a 'scrapbook' picture pedigree for the lady that owns RC Fadllah, Tiara's only filly. I'm having fun locating all of the pictures, though I'm stuck on a couple of mares: Fa-Sarah, Fa-Ramarah, and Indmirraff. If anyone out there has pics of these mares, I'd love to have copies of them.

And I'm on Facebook now. Feel free to friend me if you're interested in sharing stories and pictures of Crabbet, CMK, and Babson Arabian horses.

Starting up again

Well, cranberries are harvested and the weather is getting cooler. I've getting yard work and barn cleaning done as fast as I can before the snow hits, but I've been designing the website in my mind as I work. I hope to post the home page by November 10. No real reason for that particular date, it's just a goal.

I think once I get the site fully set up, I'll send out the link to everyone I know in the internet horse world and see if I can turn up any of the horses I'm looking for. Gods willing, I'll find them happy and in good condition, and if not I just hope I find them and can bring them home.

Stalled...

I haven't done much with the web pages yet, the summer has been pretty busy. I figure after the cranberry harvest I'll be able to put some more time into it, and hopefully it will be finished by Christmas. I hope...

Holding pattern

Well, I haven't done much of anything yet with the site. I've got a bunch of pictures scanned, but that's about it. I'm still in mourning for Sketch, as I haven't gotten anything computer related accompished since his passing, though I've gotten a lot done outside.

I hope I can pull myself out of this funk soon, as I'd like to get the website up and functioning.

First steps

I was working on the website design yesterday, and I'm thinking I may scrap the layout I chose and start somewhat from scratch. Keep the content and colors, but find a better layout.

The 'tree' is going to stay the same as well: home page, maybe an about/history page, links, contact info, possibly articles from the old WAHA newsletter, and a page for every horse linked to their parents and siblings pages. Definately a fun project!

A Look Back...

I've been planning to update Mom's farm scrapbook, arranging pictures and pedigrees in a more intuitive manner, when it occurred to me that I should make a website to go with it. It would help me get my thoughts organized, and may even be able to help me locate horses from her breeding program that we've lost track of. I'm thinking that posting a horse a day or every other day should make this easy, starting with her two foundation mares Woodlands Diamond and Bahara Baha.

My first step is to plan a design (colors, layout, etc...) and to scan in her logo. I'm going to be doing a bit of Photoshopping before it gets anywhere near the 'net!
